Add Kevin Garnett to the list of former NBA players (joining Dwyane Wade) wanting the Sonics to come back to Seattle. It was reported today that Garnett Recently said he’d love to go out and buy the team and reactivate the Pacific Northwest.
Kevin Garnett recently revealed a deep affinity for Seattle: “I would love to be able to go and buy the Seattle SuperSonics and reactivate the Pacific Northwest. Seattle was huge to our league.” https://t.co/h63by2cKlM

Garnett of course couldn’t be the main owner of the franchise, he’s about $880 million to $1.3 billion short of what it would take to get an expansion franchise. Wade and Garnett are worth both about $120 million each and just their name attached to the franchise would bring in numerous names to the Pacific Northwest.
This isn’t the first time that Garnett has expressed this. Gary Payton is often a guest on Garnett’s show Area 21 and they both reminisce quite a bit about Seattle and how much it meant to the league on the show.
As a long time fan of both Wade and Garnett, I’d welcome both them to both to a Sonics ownership group with OVG.
